  • MoGraph Text Objects won’t Motion Blur

Hi, I’m using C4D 11, but also have access to 10 if it would help.

I can not get the text objects to render with motion blur no matter what I do, i can insert a cube into the same scene with the same motion blur tag, and the motion blur effect and vector motion blur effect enabled, along with the vector motion post effect enabled, and the cube will blur, but none of my text will. Seems everything but text objects render with motion blur.

There must be something I’m doing wrong, does anybody know how to correct this? I really do not want to use AE to do the motion blurs, as these graphics will be stereo and I want to have the correct perspective and have them consistent from eye to eye.

    Please help!
    Thank you!

That is curious — not sure if it’s a bug or limitation.

You’ll have to use scene motion blur if you want to do it in Cinema. Slow, but better quality.

I regret to tell you that Motion Blur is giving me lot’s of weird reactions with Mograph.
Vector Motion Blur does a poor job, and Scene is making the MoText change position!

Did you cache it before rendering?

Nope. How do you cache before rendering?
I’m fairly new to Cinema, so I would really appreciate if you can help me with that 🙂

    Thanks!

You can cache mograph by adding a mograph cache tag to your motext and then clicking the “bake” button.

That said, I don’t see any problems here using motion blur with baked or unbaked motext animation.
