Hmmm, not sure about AMD. Do you have Cinema configured to “run as administrator”? It could be as simple as setting that (right click on the .exe > Properties > Compatibility). If that doesn’t do it I’d check with Maxon tech support.

Place your texture in the hair material’s Color>Roots link box.

Are you applying the DOF effect in post? If so the problem is that Cinema’s depth pass is aliased, which confuses DOF plugins. The solution is to use the Position Pass instead of the depth pass. I did a video on this a while back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g54ZCgO5aI

I can’t think of a good way to do it in 3D. Couldn’t you do it as a batch process in PS?

Unfortunately I don’t believe there is. I once had to go through that grueling process with dozens and dozens of videos.

I’m not sure what’s available in Cineware, but if you have the Melt Deformer that might fit the bill. For more control you could use a mesh deformer or (if available) animated morphs.

Good points. First looks like gimbal lock. Could probably be fixed by giving the camera an up vector constraint. Second is probably due to spline interpolation.

Hard to say. Is it possible the normals were reversed on the original object?

Hard to say for sure without the scene file but my guess is that your spline doesn’t have enough points to project properly. Make the text editable if it isn’t already and then go into points mode to see what it looks like. Keep in mind that the projection command won’t create any additional points, so if there aren’t many there you’ll need to use the subdivide command or the knife tool to create more.
