    Hi Simon,

I’ve bought and installed waves wlm. I can see the waves effects in the resolve audio effects panel but can’t find anywhere to launch the wlm UI. I have fired off a ticket to their customer support but not heard anything back. Any advice gratefully received!!

    Cheers, adam

February 28, 2014 at 4:14 pm in reply to: Resolve as NLE. Taking the plunge.

Having to upgrade to Mavericks for gfx card drivers is the nail in the coffin for FCP for us and definitely going to try and do all my cutting in Resolve rather than switch to avid/premiere. Looking forward to not rendering everything…

It would be really useful if someone could detail how you get additional power to the 780Ti?

    Thanks, adam

Thanks Margus. After the first failed attempt we came to the extra power conclusion too. New lead turning up today so will let you know how we get on.

May 4, 2009 at 12:08 pm in reply to: Sonnet fusion d800 raid problems

    Hi Bob and Doug,

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out, it’s really appreciated.

First off, I’m running hitachi ultrastar drives in the raid, I remember the model being on sonnets list of recommended drives. I’ll definitely take your advice about reformatting it as raid 5, but have to wait to get a few back up drives in first.

Ok so I have just run the AJA system test and in the default test I get 500mbs on both read and write. I have also just done the test as you suggested with the 1080 4gb file and I got 557 write and 516 read, which I’m assuming from you post is pretty good. Interestingly all of the lights on the front of the drive are working correctly when the test is running. I still find it really weird that one of them is not working on normal fcp 1080 prores playback.

Do you think this would suggest it’s a software issue or problem with the r380 card?

    Thanks, adam

Hi Scott, can you see the pcie card in the system profiller? I’ve just had a dodgy one replaced by BM.

Also does an extra desktop appear in your display configuration?

    Cheers, adam

May 20, 2008 at 2:07 pm in reply to: Multibridge Pro SDi output problem

Thanks Margus, I think i had some of my system prefs wrong. I’ve now unchecked the “select dual link 4:4:4 on video output’ and that has given me the option to ‘select black ref on video output’ which has sorted the problem.

    Best regards, adam
