    Hi,

Since my FCP X 10. 2 kept crashing when in Multiclip Mode, I switched to a new user Temporarily, opens up FCP and everything worked fine. It did not crash.

When I back to the main user (Me) it crashes again.

So how can I fix it? If I delete Preferences, will I lose my keyboard shortcuts? Is there a file that is stored on one of my hard drives where I can just put it back in after I trash Preferences (Like in FCP 7)?

Or should I un-install and then re-install the program? (That is what I want to do the least)

    Thanks

    Hi,

When I’m importing from a hard drive onto another hard drive, It does not give the choice to Leave Files in place.

Maybe if I transferred the original files onto the same hard drive I plan to import them onto, it might give me that option.

If I did do that, could I technically, after import, delete all of the Original Files and just keep the Optimized and Proxy ones?

    Ok Thanks,

Could I use Pro Res LT instead of Pro Res? Is that considered an Optimized clip or is is just Pro Res?

    Hi,

I am given a hard drive with dslr files on it, and I import the clips from that onto my hard drive so all of the files are on my drive in a folder. I then eject the drive with all of the original files on it.

    Hi,

I have tried using the Multicam Sync in FCP X, but it’s either really slow, or I am doing something wrong. Here is what I have been doing:

    1) First I put my Main Camera footage in the timeline.
    2) Then I put my 2nd camera footage above the main camera footage in the timeline.
    3) I then put my H4N Audio file on the bottom, below my main camera Audio & Video.
4)Then I make a folder or event, drag those same clips from the browser to that folder.
    5) Then I Have FCP Sync it up.

Is this right? If not, how should I do it.

    Thanks

    Hi Jeff,

    Thanks.

I use MPEG Streamclip or Compressor. If I convert it to Pro Res in one of those applications, When I import that in FCP X, will it ask me to Optimize it or not? If so, why would I convert it to Pro Res or Pro Res LT in another software if It’s going to ask me to do it in FCP X

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for the info. I did create a 2 second and a 1 second Black slug.

Now how can I make a 2 second and a 3 second crossfade and wind blur in Motion as well?

    Thanks in advance.

    HI,

I checked Roles and there is no set to be minimized. I can’t figure out why one is bigger than the other.

    Thanks
