Well I applied Fast Blur (Vertical pixels). Didn’t look too good.

Should I put a “Broadcast Safe” adjustment layer on all the video ?
Is there a differnce between AE’s native Broadcast Safe filter and the one
supplid with Color Finesse ?

Or maybe just put a Desat on the whold thing … hmm

If you want more organic and real feel to the thing,
try shooting a TV screen real clode (i.e. zoom to the max). Try differnt images, colors etc.

You can layer the footage on top of your comp (play with Transfer Modes too),
and get a nice pixelated look, with some motion in it.

Also if you use displacement map be sure to precomp the “Map” Layer,
and then feed tis channel to the grass layer with the disp map effect.

Let me add that usually I capture raw footage using DV prests,
But this is a 3minute that has some treatment to it and
I didn’t want to get any DV artefacts.

Just captured the whole “dropped” tape vid iMovie.
A lot of small clips (after each drop or cut) but at least DV.
(boy that sounds amatuer)

I remember having that kind of problem with a different camera.
I solved this by capturing from iMovie (maybe has something to do with “forgiving”
amateur drops ?) and importing the clips to FCP.

Going to try that now ..

Well, the footage is about an hour long, with a LOT of drops (once every 10-30 sec),
It’s supposed to look kinda grungy so I think i’ll just capture it all analog and process the video.

However, I can connect either S-Video or “RCA” (Red, White, Yellow connectors) to the DAC.
Which kind of connection will produce more * cough * accaptable results ?

There was this post here, with examples, of using gaussian blur on the cells and then Threshold –
so you get a “liquidness” to the motion. It was a basic animation of 2 rounds combining.

can’t remeber when, who, what or where though ..

Well, it does work. If you right click a Subclip and choose reconnect, it can be connected to the new master clip.
So I don’t have so subclip again the entire project. BUT what I’m looking for is something that tells FCP to take ALL
the subclips from “Master Capture 007” from that new file.

Hmmm… so it’s manual labor I guess ..
