Illustrator Graphics looking too Crisp
I’ve a project composed mostly from Illustrator graphics.
Problem is, especially on close ups of faces etc, stuff looks too crisp on the TV monitor.
Sometime it flickers too (Reduce Interlace Flicker is an option but i don’t like the blurryness of it)Is there any solution for this ?
This animation is supposed to go into a live action movie and I don’t my graphics to look too much “Video”.Here’s a sample frame that looks Ok on the computer but looks “Fake” on a TV.

For one thing, I think your graphics are too saturated for television. Back off on the yellows and reds. The colors in that jpeg are among the worst culprits in looking crappy on TV. Remember that NTSC doesn’t like 100% luminosity or 100% saturation.
How about a vertical blur of a couple of pixels?

Well I applied Fast Blur (Vertical pixels). Didn’t look too good.
Should I put a “Broadcast Safe” adjustment layer on all the video ?
Is there a differnce between AE’s native Broadcast Safe filter and the one
supplid with Color Finesse ?Or maybe just put a Desat on the whold thing … hmm
