June 4, 2008 at 6:28 pm in reply to: How can I see more frames at the same timeI wonder why you would want to do that. Are you trying to onion skin, like in Flash? Then perhaps you can use the Time effect (well I think it was called that… i can’t remember now).

@Christiansen: take it one billboard at a time. And do you really need to replace all of them? Maybe one or two will do the trick as well… make sure your ‘billboards’ match the grain as well… Good luck buddy!

November 26, 2007 at 3:48 pm in reply to: Shot progressive, FCP captures interlacedOk thanks for that.
But what is the workflow now? I mean do i need to change the sequence settings to reflect the 1080i50? Otherwise when I drag and drop the clip in my sequence I need to render the whole sequence again.
Thanks

Thanks for your reply… Yes i thought so myself… but that’s the only difference? You would maintain the same crispness of the image? Nothing will get lost when you convert it to another format?
I know it seems like a hassle.. but i’d rather save 3.000 dollars… 😐

Thats brilliant!!!!
I also love the opening of Carnivale.Ab

Thanks for that guys… I think I will render them out as a TGA sequence with alpha, and just upload a zipped file with 500 images at a time… I don’t want to risk things here ….
The torrent idea was also quite interesting…
thanks again!

Hi
I haven’t looked at your project file.. but here is how I would do it.
Your comp needs to be really big. Lets say 3000×3000 pixels. Do all your animations in here. Take this comp and stick it in a new one with TV aspect ratio’s. Stick a camera on top of it and move it according to the animation.Good luck.

I tried 16Bit but you can’t have layers in 16bit. So I am not sure if I understand you right. Also I only can switch to 16 or 9 bit… So where does the 10 bit come from.
But is it normal to have banding when you do black on grey? Becayse when I do black on red or another colour I don’t see the banding.
Very odd.

Hmmm that looks very convincing. 🙂
Like you I would love to know if their is an AE equivalent.Ab

Hahaha sorry for that. I am a creative and not really a technical guy. And sometimes I mix dutch with english!
I created a video for an art installation. I project this video onto a water surface.
Basically I have all my renders from AE exported with no compression. My sequence in FCP is DV – PAL. And then I exported it it again. So I am guessing that my problem lies here right?
I need to switch the compression of my sequence from DV – Pal to uncompressed. Correct?
*sigh sometimes these issues give me a headache*
