banding. gradient on grey
Posted by Accountclosed_no_realname on September 30, 2005 at 8:45 amThis is the first time that I notice this. I have a dark grey layer, on top of this I have another layer with a gradient (Black -> Transparent). The banding is enormous!!!
How can I get rid of it?

September 30, 2005 at 1:44 pmI tried 16Bit but you can’t have layers in 16bit. So I am not sure if I understand you right. Also I only can switch to 16 or 9 bit… So where does the 10 bit come from.
But is it normal to have banding when you do black on grey? Becayse when I do black on red or another colour I don’t see the banding.
Very odd.

September 30, 2005 at 2:01 pmNewer versions of PS support layers at 16 bit
You can work in 16, then take it into the edit at 10 bit….. To my knowledge… there are no 16 bit NLEs (please fill me in if any have info on new ones)
