    Okelidoki…. I have a question.
I have imported some images in FCP and they are really sharp. When I render to uncompresssed the images look no so sharp anymore.

Is this because of the codec settings for my Sequence? This is set to DV Pal.
Should I set this to Uncompressed too, to retain the quality?

    Thank you.

Where are you VIEWING these after the render?

You must only judge quality on an external video monitor, not on the computer monitor.

It was actually for an art installation… So we beamed it onto something.

[angel breath] “It was actually for an art installation… So we beamed it onto something.”

Well, that certainly clears things up. Very technical. 😉

    What is “beaming”?
    What is the “something”?

Hahaha sorry for that. I am a creative and not really a technical guy. And sometimes I mix dutch with english!

I created a video for an art installation. I project this video onto a water surface.

Basically I have all my renders from AE exported with no compression. My sequence in FCP is DV – PAL. And then I exported it it again. So I am guessing that my problem lies here right?

I need to switch the compression of my sequence from DV – Pal to uncompressed. Correct?

*sigh sometimes these issues give me a headache*
