The Film Looks plugin takes quite a while to render. Try removing the plugin to see the difference in speeds.

Premiere Pro 7.0 (1.0) does not support background capturing.

Try uninstalling Premiere Pro and reinstall Premiere 6.5. Also, download and install a program called CrapCleaner to clear up any junk that you might have on your system.

What version of Premiere Pro are you using? Background capturing is only supported in Premiere Pro 1.5.

How did you shift all the tracks? Did you press M and Shift to move the clips to the right? If you don’t feel comfortable doing this, you can simply use nested sequences.
