Ok. I will download the trial and post a detailed comparison in a couple of days. I don’t think I will be purchasing Vegas though, since I use Premiere Pro for 99% percent of my projcts.

I have been using Vegas 4 as my secondary editor for some quick edits. I am not sure if there are major differences between V4 or V5. But, if there are let me know and I will download a trial version to do some detailed comparisions.

I am not sure if Adobe has made anything for Linux as of yet. But, Cinelerra is a great editing app. for Linux.

Hi Charlie,
When you select the MPEG2 option from the Adobe Media Encoder, you should see an option that says Video, with a little check box next to it. Select video and you can change the variables for exporting. If you don’t see these options, you will need to activate the adobe media encoder.
