[Frank Cervarich] ” It sounds like to me that it isn’t Leopard so much as the shake hands with FCP6.latest. “
No that is not it at all, it is that fact that ANY application can have issues with a new OS.

Please don’t thread jack. if you have a question is it best to post it new and start a new thread.

[photoguy] “Thanks for the suggestion, but I don’t think that will work.
My Keynote presentation is more than just a timed show. No 2 slides are up for the same duration. Some slides have up to 40 builds in them with sound bites and video clips contained in the show. “
I believe that you can set all that in keynote and the video export will handle all the sound bites fine. PLUS you you can pick the export setting right from keynote. Then pull that file into FCP and lay a VO to it.

[Danrnw] “So, you all are saying that somewhere Apple has specifically said,
“FCP or FCS2 is not compatible with Leopard”? Where is that exactly? “HOLD ON THERE MAN
Nobody EVER said that, and there is no such statement from Apple.
What people like Walter and others are saying, is purely personal opinion based on past experience. There concurs are perfectly valid, because ANY application can have problems if you move to an new OS that the program was not originally developed for, take for example the issues with Adobe products on the new OS.
Is it the fault of the new OS? Absolutely not. Those applications ran fine on the current OS available at the time of the programs release. Take that fish and place it in a different pond, and things may not work quite right.
Walter says wait for updates to be released for the FCS applications, because he is douse not want to risk loosing productivity in his business while dealing with potential bugs. MANY people have that opinion.
SO CHILL OUT MAN.
Think of a new OS as a pair or pants or a new pair of shoes, until they are broken in they are not as comfortable as the old ones.

[bockos] “and you don’t get it zrb123. I can control any of my computers from home and use the Slingbox to see/hear what video/audio is present. Not frame accurate, but it can be done.”
Well you didn’t say that in your original post all you said was monitor it.
[bockos] “Not frame accurate”
Now that can pose a BIG problem.

[JoeProcopio] “I opened one up and got the multiple license in use on the network error…only problem is all of our FCPs have specific licenses, and the only one who has the license with all the install disks is myself. “
Well in order to get that message the activation key must be in use by another machine. I would go and check all the other machines and make sure that thy are not using the same key.
I had a boss once that thought he would save money by only buying one FCP for several computers (Not the only dishonest thing he did) We then could no longer share files over the network, because only one of then could be connected to the network at a time.

[bockos] “We are using Slingboxes to monitor our broadcast, traffic, robotics and insertion.”
That is not what he is wanting to do at all. He wants to remotely control his work computer from home.
Back to the original question.
Along with no audio, I am betting that you would have issues with being able to smoothly monitor that video from the remote computer because it it having to send it over the internet. -
[Joe Langenfeld] “Does anyone have a way to hear the audio output of the remote Mac? “
It doesn’t work that way right now sorry.

You may need to reinstall the OS.
Douse the OS in question have a second user account you can LPG into?
