“will my existing 2TB of data be erased”
    – Yes your existing data will be erased,
“If yes, how can I avoid this?”
    – buy 2 new drives and mirror rade them
“How does the 2TB of data from my existing drive find its way onto the new, additional drive in the Mirrored RAID?”
    – You copy it onto the new mirrored raid

Yes you need DVD SP 4 to make a HD DVD, but the question is what is do you plan on playing the DVD on, if it is just a reguler DVD player you will have to downconvert the HD to SD and then make a reguler DVD. If you want it in HD you will have to play it from a the Mac Computer, I have heard that the Tosheba HD DVD player might play it but cant say for shure

“for those people who have 16:9 TVs and want to watch in 16:9, they will lose this information”

that all depends on how the staition is brodcasting

ita comes down to who you want to caiter your commercials to the few with 16:9 TV’s who get broadcasts in 16:9 or the majority of those who dont

I still sajest talkiing to the person who did the demonstration and get screen records from the computer (not recording the computer with a camera but using a program that records the action on the screen and makes a video file of it) THE END RESULT WILL LOOK MUCH MORE PROFESSIONAL.

Ask your client if they are fine with ehe crapy looking video then use it if they want something better explain they need to pay a little more for you to get better assets to work with.

September 19, 2006 at 3:11 pm in reply to: First Corporate Event

You say the event is 2 hours this length of time can pose some problems mainly you are going yo need to change tapes at least once. the pick up shots of the crowd can cover the video on this, audio however is another issue as you dont want to loose any part of the speeches.

If there are breaks in the program then perfict, but if all they are doinig is changing speekers that might not be enuff time to change tapes.

If you can record DTE using something like a Firestore drive you might be ok, however I would recomend 2 cameras and overlaping your tape changes (this also makes the video less stagnent and moor visualy appeling as you can cut between two different angles) And then for your master audio record to a seperite audio recording device capable of recording for the deration of the event.

I see many commercials that are 16×9 they have been leterboxed and many of then use that extra space on top or bottem to put there text so it isnt over the video
