Did turning off the thumbnails have any impact on you results?

July 29, 2014 at 7:06 pmKevin, I ended up sending your video directly to Red Giant. They responded the following day and said they were unaware of the problem. I gave them more details and they assured me they were working on it. Just today, an update was sent out for Color Suite and that was one of the issues it addressed.
I updated Looks to 2.5.3 through Red Giant Link and it seems to have solved the problem.
Kudos to them for addressing the issueTVS

August 5, 2014 at 6:24 amJames, any luck? I’ve been going on three days of absolutely no work possible. I’ve been on the phone with adobe for 8 hours a day, and all they can say is Color Suite is messing it up. I talked to Red Giant, and they said they didn’t know anything about it.
I swear I’m dealing with the same problem as you, and there’s just no way around it. Unless you’ve found a way. If so, please share!

August 5, 2014 at 7:10 amI deeply sympathise with you
Again i don’t run any RG product and its the same thing, the problem has been intermittent, sometimes it crash and freezes/black canvas just sound etc 12 times a day or more, or 6 times in an hour or less, but for the most part the past week or so it’s been relatively well behaved, for instance yesterday it just happened twice.

August 6, 2014 at 6:19 pmHello! I have been having the same abysmal problems of crashes, freezes and canvas going blank since the update. I’m not using color suite or any third party programs. Thumbnails are off. The part that really gets to me is that it will freeze and crash while saving, so my changes are lost time and again. Please help Adobe!

August 6, 2014 at 9:12 pmFor those who are reverting to previous versions, is there a way to revert to just before the most recent smaller update, not all the way back to CC 2014’s first iteration?

August 16, 2014 at 5:46 amhi – I’m new to the forum and this is my first post. I’ve been having the same problems with latest PP update and found this work around. When I launched the program from the icon on my dock (Mac) it started the older version which I thought I had lost. I am now using this and it is great to be crash free again! I’ve been opening the buggy version and exporting an FCP XML file then importing it into the old version – not perfect but gets most stuff in there. So if you have an icon on your dock that has not been updated it’s GOLD don’t trash it…

August 19, 2014 at 9:34 pmPremiere CC 2014 has been almost unusable for me. After a couple years of stellar performance by both CS 6 and Premiere CC, I have to say Premiere CC 2014 is a COMPLETE DISASTER. It freezes and crashes on me constantly. On large projects I have to restart the program every 5 minutes. I have isolated the problem to the application itself as I have had this same issue on multiple computers with different footage and different hard drives. I am using all newish Macs (2012 and up), with quad core i7 processors, a minimum of 32 GB of memory and ultra fast hard drives (some thunderbolt/7200 RPM and some RAID). DO NOT INSTALL PREMIERE CC 2014!!!! STAY AWAY FOR NOW!!!
