February 18, 2015 at 4:35 pm in reply to: NVIDIA Card with Yosemite and Premiere causing major graphics failureFWIW, I wrote to nvidia support back on 2/3 about this issue.
They said my issue was being “escalated to a Level 2 tech”.
TODAY (2 weeks later) the Level 2 responded:
Both CUDA and OpenCL can be used to leverage the power of your GPU for various tasks. Their implementation depends on how each individual program is optimized, and problems with one are generally specific to that program. You can try reinstalling CUDA, but you might also want to check directly with the support or community for the program you’re using to see if others have encountered similar issues, especially if other programs work correctly when accelerated.

Pretty much useless.
It’s incredibly annoying to be stuck somewhere in an Adobe/Apple/Nvidia limbo, wherein no one seems to be doing much to fix this issue. Many of us bought high end Macs specifically for use with Premiere and fast rendering/real-time effects.
I wish someone knew someone at a high-profile blog/magazine and could get a write up about this.

February 7, 2015 at 12:00 am in reply to: NVIDIA Card with Yosemite and Premiere causing major graphics failureHow does one uninstall CUDA?
Is it enough to remove the Pref Panel?
Or do we need to run an uninstaller? -

January 23, 2015 at 1:20 am in reply to: NVIDIA Card with Yosemite and Premiere causing major graphics failureI am having this issue as well on a 2014 Retina MacBook Pro running Yosemite 10.10.2.
CUDA drivers went through TWO updates on the SAME DAY (1/14), 6.5.36 & 6.5.37 — even though the pref panel does not yet see the .37 — and neither solves this problem!
Any news from Adobe/nvidia about a fix?
Has anyone gone back to Mavericks … and did it fix the problem?
This is making me lose many hours of productivity.

you saved me from smashing my computer to bits. -
Ha! Didn’t look in playback, just Audio. {facepalm}
Thanks!

AH!
THANK YOU!

Ha, no, sorry, I wasn’t clear!
I mean zoomed in TIMEwise … i.e, zoomed in horizontally, not vertically.
If I’m looking at a few minutes, nothing.
If I zoom in to look at 2-3 seconds, then the waveforms appear. -

September 12, 2014 at 12:58 am in reply to: Any way to select EVERY OTHER character with a text animator?HA! Well, yes, you can do it “manually” with a separate selector for each character.
But I was hoping for a more ‘automatic’ way that would handle any length of text.
Kinda like a “square wave” selector…
I guess I could just create 50 selectors … maybe with an expression to “add 2” to the offset from the one above … just gets kinda messy.
