For get doing any of that and get a FW express card for your MBP. Having the hard drive on a separate bus then the camera is a good thing to do anyway.

So not true, I actually NEVER run DW or TechTools on my system, and it runs fine. I am betting the things that all of that 32% of things that it found out of order were so miniscule that they would not have made a difference if you hadn’t repaid them.

David I believe that is only true if the machine was originally released after the release of leopard. It has to do with the drivers of the older OS not supporting the hardware of the newer machine.
That said you would still need a copy of the 10.4 system disks from the same model Mac Pro, because the Box version of the 10.4 disks NEVER supported Intel machines (and why should they all Intel machines came with 10.4), and the disks that come with machines are always model specific meaning one model Mac Pro disks will not work on another model Mac Pro.
So you could try a running 10.4 on it if you have disks from another machine of the same model. There certainly hasn’t been a newer model Mac Pro since the release of 10.5

Sounds like your optical drive is having a problem you should probably sign up for an appointment at your closest Apple Store.

Are you on 10.4 or 10.5? There is a big difference on how each handle hard drives connected to airport extreme base stations.

They actually make there money by selling the exact same commercial over and over. All they do is add in the customers logo and info and redo the VO.
I know this because I once looked into, doing some side work for a place that does those cookie cutter commercials. They pay crap so I said I would not do it.
You could probably bust one of those commercials out in no time at. Look for similar clips on stock footage sites, do some adjusting to what is said slap in a logo and you are done. When I looked into it they sayd it takes most people 30 min to an hour to do one.

Well only you know what you will fully what you will need and what you wont.
I personally only use Photoshop and Illustrator, you may easily differ if your needs though.
