    There is not a way to export a video file out of iDVD. You will have to do a capture from the DVD itself. There is plenty of info on how to do that in the forums.

    What format of video are you using in FCP. The reason I ask is because FCE is vary limited on the formats it will use.

    DVD programs are used to make DVD’s out of video files not make video files from DVD’s.

    What program did you make the video in that you used in iDVD, export your video file from there.

    And what is in that dmg, is it something that you could split half the files to one and half to another. Is it a DMG that you created yourself, if so try selecting compressed when making the dmg.

    Yes it does require a dual layer burner. What exactly are you trying to burn on to DVD.
