Sorry thats part of the OS its there for a reason to alert you that it is possible that what ever you downloaded may not be from a good source and that there is the potential that it may cause problems.

Sounds like iDVD is running into a currupt spot in your media. Try creating a new project and bring in a different video clip. If that works then it is defenetly a bad media file.

I assume you mean glossy as both the anti glare and the glossy use LED displays.
It really is a personal choice. I myself like the glossy but I know people that hate the glossy.
It’s all personal preferance.

I have the kb covers one and like it. I had previusly uses stickers but like the cover much more because you can take it off.

I have NEVER heard of a utility from Norton that does anything like that.
Use disk utility and if that cannot fix it then try disk warrior.

The maximum amount of ram that the current iMacs can take is 4GB.
I honestly am not a big fan of iMacs as editing machines. My reasoning behind that is there is only ONE firewire bus on the machine (yes there are multiple ports but there is still only one bus). I have experienced to many problems when being forced to have my media drives and deck share the same firewire bus. You can easily get dropped frames on ether capture or layback to tape.
If you do not want a Mac Pro then I recommend looking into a MacBook Pro, at least with those you can add an express card with a second firewire bus, or better yet an esata card for your media drives. And the new 17″ that was announced has the ability of taking up to 8GB of ram.

Check the privacy tab in the spotlight section of system preferences to see if there is anything there. Anything listed there is NOT shown in spotlight searches.
You could also try trashing the spotlight preference file.

If it is ONLY when you open system preferences then there may be a small issue with the application. Try repairing disk permissions and making sure the OS is up to date and you could also try deleting the preference file for the system preference app.

What file? is it a file that you know the computer has a copy of, because if it does not have the file then obviously it will not find it.
