Unfortunately not. I’ve tried with H264, ProRes and DNxHD.

It’s not a variable frame rate video. I’ve already checked.

If I export a clip and play it in VLC or Quicktime, it plays back correctly. If I bring that exported clip back into Premiere, it’s two frames out of sync.

Yes, Dave.
Whether a clip is in the timeline or source monitor, I have this problem. It doesn’t matter if the clip originated in Premiere or outside of Premiere.

No problem! I always find it frustrating when these questions go unanswered, so I figured if I have the question, someone else probably does too. Might as well share the knowledge. 😛

July 7, 2014 at 5:48 pm in reply to: Photoshop not recognizing alpha channel from After Effects still frame export. Thanks Rob! I had totally forgotten about this. Thanks for coming up with the solution, though now that I’m running Adobe CC, I can’t seem to replicate the problem! 😛

OK! it turns out that the solution is way easier than originally anticipated, and somehow I overlooked it the first go around… Here are the steps:
1. Apply CC Power Pin to the layer you want to undistort.
2. Check “unstretch,” and turn the effect off.
3. Align your four corner points with the distorted image.
4. Turn the effect back on.
5. KABLAMO! The distorted image is now rectangular and fills your comp. Then you can stretch and squash it using the X and Y scale until you get it to look the way it should look… Although I would recommend setting your comp to the size you want it to be in order to avoid unnecessary transformations that could degrade your image quality.
Need to give a special shout out to my buddy Isaac Ravishankara for helping me figure this out and showing me this awesome script that while not needed to accomplish the goals set forth in this post, is still pretty excellent and helped us figure out the solution: https://aescripts.com/cornerpinner/

Thanks for your response, Dave. But that’s not quite what I’m asking. The image of the building was merely meant to act as an example of perspective in a real world situation. The question is regarding setting custom corner pin points that aren’t set at the corners of my composition by default.

November 19, 2012 at 10:28 pm in reply to: After Effects Eyedropper/Color Picker Not WorkingAhhh. That is very interesting. The problem has been coming back every now and then, and I have definitely had Spotify running in the BG almost constantly since I got it earlier in the year… Will have to keep an eye on that. Thanks for the insight!

July 3, 2012 at 6:56 pm in reply to: Clip Renamed “render” in Timeline when Sending to Soundtrack from Final CutYeah, I’m not sure I ever really figured out the problem myself. Probably just worked around it. :-/
Now that I have two extra years of experience in the post world though, I would say try sending some audio to STP from a brand new project file and see what that does. Then there’s the standard trashing of preferences, deleting waveform and thumbnail cache, etc.
Good luck! Let me know if any of these things work for you!
