  • Clip Renamed “render” in Timeline when Sending to Soundtrack from Final Cut

Just recently, I started having a problem with sending clips from Final Cut to Soundtrack via the “Send To> Soundtrack Pro Audio File Project.” Normally, the clip updates in the timeline and is renamed “[clip name] (sent)” and that file is then placed in the browser somewhere. But now, the clip is renamed “render” and it doesn’t show up anywhere in the browser, and when I try to reveal in finder, it just shows my Final Cut project file.

Any ideas as to why this might be happening to me?

Yeah, I’m not sure I ever really figured out the problem myself. Probably just worked around it. :-/

Now that I have two extra years of experience in the post world though, I would say try sending some audio to STP from a brand new project file and see what that does. Then there’s the standard trashing of preferences, deleting waveform and thumbnail cache, etc.

Good luck! Let me know if any of these things work for you!
