The term you’re thinking of is a “soundalike.” Audiosparx probably has some good ones.

Just had to log-in and thank you for this Anthony. The headbanging had commenced… thanks for updating your thread after you figured it out!

I agree with Mark about going with an embed on your site. There are some options for you to make piracy a bit more difficult.
You could use progressive download files. WM or QT streams are simply visible in the HTML code, elementary piracy, but progressive downloads are hidden – typically in Javascript or .SWF files.
The video still ends up downloading to the viewer’s computer, though. That’s how they see it. To get around downloading, you could use a true streaming server. It creates a real-time stream and nothing gets downloaded. Screen capture softwares can normally work-around this, however. You could look into some players that distort the captured video, however.
Adobe Media Server is made for this kind of stuff, I’ve never used it, but I’ve heard good things. There’s a free trial.

Does the client require the DVD to be PAL or could you make it region-free? That’d certainly be the easiest option if you can do that.
Also, if you have access to After Effects, Andrew Kramer did a tutorial on NTSC to PAL.

September 4, 2013 at 5:45 pm in reply to: seq match orig but still have to render audio? What Simon said. It’s often much more time efficent (for me, at least) to convert all .MP3 files to .WAVs before bringing them in FCP so that I don’t have to deal with rendering constantly.

Yes, you can mix with keyframes. There are on-screen sliders you can control while watching and every time you move a fader, a keyframe is made.
I sometimes use a Behringer BCF-2000 to physically move faders, but the visual mixer is pretty much the same thing.

I’m using CS5.5 and its linked to the specific audio track for sure.
Once again, it doesn’t work if I do it manually in preview mode either.

I’m sorry, I actually figured it out about half an hour after I posted this. I used Subtitle Workshop on a PC to do it.
Thank you for your help though Eric.
