PS I am using PI 3.

  • I don’t think you can add time to the beginning of the timeline. Even if you were able to,
then it will have to be in minus. So the bottom line is add time to the end of timeline
and select your layer(s) and move them over accordingly.

I don’t have an answer for that. but I’d like to stress that you should backup your aep files
on a different drive. As you get into AE intensly, you will realize how important the aep
files are. They’re like your brain. I have been using AE for 2 years now and I have learned
not make that mistake. Any aep file that is super important, I triple backup on a CD or
    medium other than the computer.

In my opinion, After Effects is like the foundation of your effects and compostie life.
If you haven’t used it, you don’t know what you are missing. PI is like suppliment to
After effects. Knowing After effects is essential and PI is good for spicing up AE.

Are you stablizing the footage for smoothness? if this is the case, the whole footage
will move around anchored to the point of stabilization and you will end up having gaps
in every direction. To resolve this, instead of resizing the footage directly, create a
null and parent the footage layer to the null and adjust the transformation on the null.
hope this is what you are looking for.

If you want total 3d environment within AE, use 3d invigorator from zaxwerks.
Your second option is to use cc sphere (AE 6.5) or fe sphere. This filter will
give you the text in a circle (ring). However, it’s not in a 3d environment.

Rather than resizing your footage layer, try reducing the size of the target. You could also make your four point tracking slightly smaller than the area you want to attach your target.
    Good luck
