I guess I should remove the parenting from the camera first if I want the expression to work?
Cause with the parenting on it stays as before.
How should I reference the ‘motion’ layer once I remove the parenting ?

    Thanks, Y.

My mistake – I was using the PAL preset and didn’t change the 720×576 to 1920×1080 manually.

Thank you, this works well for the quality – but still the proportions aren’t right – the export comes as PAL proportions and not widescreen – so there are black edges on top and on the bottom of my clip (which has the right proportions).

How do I eliminate the black edges ?

Well, maybe 30 seconds is more what I meant.. but in these 30 seconds I will add some animation on top of that photo. But before the animation I want already that it feels as a video capture.

The grain effect I achieve with the Fractal Noise effect, and I will add sound too. But still there appears to be something missing…

This shot should be as long as one minute..

Hi everyone and thanks for your posts –

I didn’t quite mean to create an elaborate 3d camera effect of space.

What I meant was that I take a simple photo and place in the composition, now what I have looks like a static photo.
I am interested that this photo (of inanimate objects, for example an empty room) will look as if this was a footage that was recorded by a video camera.
I am not interested in a ‘security camera’ low quality look, but just a simple video feeling, as if this photo wasn’t taken once and is shown statically, but recorded over time, 25 frames a second.

I really don’t know what causes the difference between a video footage of an empty room, or a static photo of one, but everyone can feel this difference. This difference consists of some fractal noise I imagine, but that is not all.

    Any ideas?

December 23, 2009 at 7:57 am in reply to: Wiggling Fractal Noise

    Thanks for replying..

I will try to be clearer –
I have an animation layer (image sequence) which is time streched to 300%. So the image in my animation changes every 3 frames.
Now the Fractal Noise effect which I added to this animation changes every single frame , due to the Wiggle Expression which controls its Offset Turbulence property.
I would like this property to change with the Wiggle effect, but only when the image itself changes- meaning every 3 frames.

I appreciate any help in this,
    Y.

Thank you for your answer .

My scans are already clean and ready to use, but placing them over the background in ‘Overlay’ mode causes the background to show through them, which is not good.. I need the drawings to be on top, completely concealing the background.
The problem is mainly in the way the edges and the background meet..
I guess I need a way to cause the edges to maybe blur a bit on the background layer, so they look more like they are all part of one pencil drawing.

Thanks, I’ll try it with the scripting way.
