  • Check out the Big Brain on Bob Zelin!

I just got the Gen10 and, after searching for a magnifying glass with which to set the dip switches – voila! My HD-SDI embedded audio is clean as a whistle.

    Thanks for the help guys.

  • It’s 24 bit audio.

I’m gonna try the Gen10. I’ve been looking for an excuse to buy one anyway. If that doesn’t work, I’ll send out another SOS, and send Bob the bill…

  • You assume correctly, Bob- it’s the 1400 deck.

My black burst generator is the one I got when I bought my GVG-200 switcher in the late 80’s, so I guess it’s time to upgrade. But you’re right… don’t like it. 😉

    Thx

I’m also interested in receiving one, but did not see a form on the Panasonic site for ordering a free one.

My embarrassment at having overlooked this seemingly obvious action step is overshadowed by the thrill of seeing my Kona hard come to life! Thank you Walter!

  • Thanks for the workflow idea, but wow – seems like there would be a less bulky approach to this simple process. I’ll give it a shot though.

    Thank you –

You are THE MAN – almost….

Yes, that menu did in fact cause the video and audio to start coming through into the capture tool, but I lost firewire transport control of the deck. The only way I could capture was to set device control to “non-controllable device.”

Is this just the way it is if you want to import DVCPRO though firewire on a 1400?

    Thanks –
