Well, in that case nothing beats the ol’ keframe trick. It’s probably easier to do this in AE or Motion but you can pull it off in FC too.
If you have the logo, you can animate it to move across the screen. Then animate the crop or garbage matte or a wipe on your clips and voila. Add some blending mode effects, a rendered flare from FC and you should have a simple yet effective transition.

No. Telecine would be not be done by us.

The BEAULIEU 4008ZM4 goes up to 80 fps.
Maybe the 100fps was an exageration on my part 😉

You can add and manipulate drop boxes in Motion. I never did that so Im not sure how the template would later behave. I think it was made to work with DVD Studio Pro and I haven’t seen the possibility to add video to preset dropboxes in FC… but then again I never played with that.

    :O

Try exporting the project from FC in current settings then importing the file into comressor.
Noting else I can think of.

If you have multiple HDs, maybe the appropriate one isn’t checked in as a scratch disk etc.
Did you try exporting it through compressor? What about rendering out ina different codec, does that work? What are your sequence settings?

  • … You can try the old “remove-one-property-at-a-time-and-see-if-it-changes-anything” technique. 😉

The interlace-like effect comes up when there’s something wrong with the frame rate, speed or pixel aspect. The setting look fine though….

Have you tried converting the footage in Cinema Tools after the update to FCS2? I don’t have much experience with Cinema Tools but maybe if you try again it might make a difference.

  • Have you made any speed adjustments to the clips?

Double clicking on it will just open it. You can right click it and choose “open in viewer”. Then you can modify it.

Whatever you do in FC it will look more or less jittery. I always use Shake to slow down footage and it looks a lot better.
