I’m monitoring audio from my video from my card. Here’s what happens:

I press play, the video in my Canvas, the Audio from the card, and the video on the TV are all synced at first. Then, after a few seconds, the Canvas video and the card audio are still synced, but the video on the external monitor is drifting, farther and farther behind.

Sorry about how cryptic my original post is. Rereading it again, I’m surprised anyone responded! Thanks!

This might not help if you’re on a budget but here it is anyway:

The LED filter is what you’ll want to look at.

September 14, 2007 at 3:45 pm in reply to: Aburd– plain text brings motion to its knees.

I’ve had similar issues with the speed of Motion. I just always thought it was my lack in experience with older slower text animators and graphics compositors. I’d have a simple broadcast SD project and I ad more than one layer of text and I start to get slow downs. Adding anything more than a simple fad in/fade out was almost out of the question. I don’t get it.

WOW! This is the best response I’ve ever had to a question of this nature. I really do believe it’s important to at least be able to understand the fundamentals, and have the ability to at least monitor what others have done to truly offer the best experience to my clients. And this will help tremendous with that. Thanks for your in depth help!!!

That’s more luck than I ever had!

BTW, here’s the link to the post that helped me so much in getting use to using Text Sequence:

Oh, OK. Unfortunately, if you write a layer of text, you can’t adjust individual characters with the slider. You have to use the Sequence Text Filter. I found this very frustrating at first, but now I LOVE it. Do a search on this forum for “Sequence Text” and you’ll get some great insight on how to use it. (You’ll probably see a couple of post with my name in it as well which will point you in the right direction).
