More motion bugs

I can support the above rant. Motion 2 had its share of bugs. Motion 3 seems to have fixed most of them, but is riddled with little bugs of its own. I suspect it would be impossible to bug proof complex software before its release though.

Cupertino has frozen over several times with the introduction of multibutton mouses, Intel Macs and Windows versions of Apple app.
Can you imagine? A pre-publication beta release of a professional Apple application with a public, uncensored, moderated blog-style forum read and contributed to by a grateful development team? Steve Jobs and his code monkeys must surely be contemplating such a thing after Adobe’s success with public beta programs.

that would never happen, but it’s very obvious the beta team is incredibly small with all the basic things that either get broken or new features that don’t operate correctly. Apple will never do a public beta program, but could certainly expand their private beta program to get more users involved who run a myriad of setups. Seems like the folks doing the testing have optimum setups for whatever the latest and greatest features are.

That’s just my observation looking at little things like 720p Drop Frame still not supported in Final Cut Pro. Motion would probably be well served by including a lot of After Effects artists in the beta program.
