You will want to end your fade right at the end of your clip, right now you have it highlighted to the end of the file … You can also highlight 1.5 seconds … This should eliminate your problem ……… WILLIE

On the session side just double click on the input meter and you can monitor without putting it in record mode

The bottom line here is that Adobe put a really crappy audio editor in CS3, Why? I was told by a tech working on Audition 3.0 that they were getting complants that Audition was just too much program for a good number of video guys … Oh well that’s life ………… WILLIE

OK, Try this … Do a mixdown of the original track see if you can delete the channel you don’want … Repeat for the other channel this way you have the right and left channels on seprate tracks … If soundbooth won’t do this then E-mail me at loganonestudio@aol.com and we will find another way to get the job done …………… WILLIE

If it’s like Audition, all you have to do is right click on the channel you want to copy to and then “mixdown either stereo or mono” … I might suggest that you read the help file for soundbooth … Personally I think it is a low grade audio editor and you would be best served by upgrading to Audition …….. Do you have a copy of 1.5 … 2.0 just sucks big rocks and I refuse to use it … Mystery problems seem to follow 2.0, I know this doesn’t help but you are not alone in this area … What presets are you looking for, maybe I can help … WILLIE

Now we may be getting to the heart of your problem … What version are you using? Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall? I feel missing files is your problem and the reason you couldn’t locate the folders I told you to find … I would completely wipe the program and start from scratch …………… WILLIE

Now I am at a loss, OK try this open up on the edit side and go to EFFECTS and left click on ADD and REMOVE VST DIRECTORY … This should give you the location of your VST filters … I guess for me right now the bigger mystery is why don’t you have those folders, they are part of the program unless someone has purposely deleted them … Here is a sure fire way to find them if you can’t find them as suggested … Go the start menu and then search files and folders and do a search for *.fft …………..
