You will need to adjust the volume on the voice or the music you can do this by clicking on the “V” at the left side of the track if you are using 1.5, on 2.0 you will see what looks like a knob on the left side of the track, the left knob is volume, click and hold moving it left lowers moving it right makes it louder … There are many things that you can do such as EQ, HARD LIMITING, EFFECTS, I would suggest that you read the help file on “MIXING MULTI TRACK SESSIONS” ….. When you say “SUB” are you talking low end or bass? Yes,I would use the parametric EQ in the filter menu … There are presets to give you a starting point then you can adjust from there … In the future I highly recommend that you not use MP 3 format as it’s a compressed format and you compromise the quality of your recording … EQ your vocal tracks before you mixdown …….. When you say “PLAYING IN THE SUB MIX” does this mean you hear the sub mix on the vocal track? If this is the case how do you listen to your music track when you are recording your vocals … It really isn’t clear to me what you are wanting to do when you say “ANYWAY TO LEVEL THE VOCALS TO WHERE THEY PLAY ONLY IN THE MID AND HIGH RANGE” Do you mean that you want to hear just the low and high harmony vocals or do you want your vocals EQed to low and high end … As I said before if you don’t want to hear a track you can simply mute it … Sorry for any confusion on my part I just need a bit more detail and I am sure I can help …….. I am asuming you are talking sub mix … You just simply mute the vocals by clicking on the green “M” on the left side of the vocal track and then do the mixdown ……… WILLIE

Did you check volumes on the window mixer? Are you using headphones?

OK, I need to know a couple of things …
Do you have a soundcard or are you using onboard sound
Have you checked your windows mixer to see where the volume is set
What kind of mic are you using and which port is it plugged into
If you are not using headphones or your volume in the headphones is too
high you will get a bleed, this is where a compressor limitor can
really help
You can pick up a mixer like the eurorack ub120 4fx by berringer for
less than 70 bucks, it’s not the greatest but it is better than
nothing
As long as you are doing a track at a time you are fine like you are until you can afford some outboard gear you just need to tweak it a bit ……… WILLIE -

On this kind of pop you need to use the “remove single noise” filter in spectral view instead of the click and pop on the whole wave … Please send it to me and I will see if I can help from my end … I do have issue with 2.0 and won’t use it until Adobe cleans it up a bit … Do you have 1.5 or access to it? Later …….. WILLIE

I would experiment with the parametric eq … I would add some bottom end and take out some high end …….. WILLIE
