Jon, you had said in your post “reloading the cache and preference files.” how do I go about doing that? I think I’ll try that and see if that helps.

It is not a transition but clip. It doesn’t matter if the clip is one second or five seconds the effect is “fit” into the first half, time wise, of the clip and the rest of the clip is black. To answer your first question about has this just started I would say it started about a month ago.

Thanks Tom & Roli. I’ll make that feature request and maybe ask to be able to see TC while capturing too, that way I could go “old school” and write time codes while watching.

Thanks Roli, I’ve used the markers during logging before but I want to be able to add a marker while I am capturing so that I don’t have to watch the video once for logging and then again while capturing. The markers don’t have to be precise. You can do this in AVID and I was hoping there was a way in FCP. I’ve scoured the manual and can’t find any reference.
