I used i1Profiler. As I was reading through that thread you linked, I have a computer at home with which this problem did not happen. The LCD at home is a newer Dell Ultrasharp, this one is an older Dell model.

No, I think perhaps I wasn’t clear enough. They are unnaturally dark, not even close to how they should look. Something is messing with the color gamma, but only in the viewer and canvas of FCP.

The FCP canvas and viewer are dark. I haven’t yet bothered to view it on the external monitor, as I don’t really need to for my needs.

So for the Ezio computer monitor, I would need:
Blackmagic Decklink HD Extreme 3D card.
Blackmagic HDLink Pro Display Port converter
SDI Cables
Display port cable.The DVI-I would connect the MacPro to the computer monitor, but it wouldn’t give me 100% color accuracy?

Thanks Ron, but I have that, and I tried on a wacom ‘bamboo’ tablet. Same thing, with the middle mouse button not functioning.

Thank you for your reply. I don’t even see where to purchase Avid Symphony, but I think having windows would be more important to me for color correcting. Is there a version that available to download for a trial?

Is there a Blackmagic device similar to the Intensity that doesn’t have a Thunderbolt connection? Say, if I have a MacPro?
