  • I heard from several sources it stinks. You won’t learn anything from that DVD that you can’t from the manual & also through your own discoveries.

Not sure if BFX has it, but look for Pixel Chooser parameters.

Why don’t you just make sure the project bin is active & hit CTRL+S. It will save everything regardless whether a particular bin is active or not.

The flashing is telling you that CP isn’t active.

Not that this update matters to me, but I was just curious what Media100 has to do with Avid.

You make your settings after you disconnect the firewire cable & then reconnect it. Voila!

Stupid design, but it is what it is.

Why not just try it with your current GeForce 7300GT card. The majority of users have success with these Nvidia based consumer cards. Just make sure you have the correct Nvidia driver to your Avid version & all should be well. No need to rush out to spend another $1000+ on some Quadro card if what you have works for your needs.

Actually, with title effects in BCC, you’re only supposed to drag (no alt/drag… it’s NOT a typical nested effect) the effect on top on the title created with Avid’s title tool. Unless I’m mistaken… it’s been quite a while since I’ve done this.

I have a hunch you’re right as well. Sounds as though this guy has no idea what he’s doing. Sorry I have no answers. Just a comment 🙂
