Once again Floh, thank you. Next time “I” should ask you earlier too!

Hi Joe,
I sent your info on to Engineering and their response was that the error info wasn’t enough to pinpoint exactly what went wrong. However, given the way you describe the problem happening, it’s likely that you are correct and it’s a “one-off” sort of problem with a corrupted file.
The best thing to do in these cases is to put this info aside, get back to work, and keep an eye out for the future. If it starts happening with regularity, then it’s a sign of something.

Just to be clear…
Is that -19004 or -19044?

Hi Richard,
Media 100 does not have such an interface. What exactly did you have in mind?

Hi Joe,
My engineers tell me it’s “a fairly generic error” that is used in “over 100 possible situations”. YIKES! What this means to you and me is that without more information, it could be a LOT of things.
The most important thing we need is the context. What were you doing with the application and what exactly happened when this error popped up?
Also, the error window that popped up likely had more info such as “Socket”, “Line”, “File”, etc.
If you can pass along this information, then we’d have more to go on.

ahhh…you guys beat me to it.
I’ve been tearing down and building up one of our testing systems today and was just coming to the same conclusion when an email alert about your posts came in…
This is great news guys!
Do me (and everyone else) a favor and repost your configs.
Then I’ll get busy re-writing that install guide!Hardware and Peripherals

Hey Jason,
I’ve been using that codec almost exclusively on my system leading up to the 12.6 release, and that was off the internal drive. So…we know it’s not some fundamental problem with that codec.
However, I don’t have your exact set-up either.
Questions:
– What slot is the AJA card in?
– What slot is the G-Tech card in?
– Does it play back off the internal drive?Shots in the dark ideas:
– What if you pull the G-Tech card out and play from an internal drive?
– Try putting the G-Tech card in Slot 2
– Try pulling ram down to 2GBsI’ll try a few things on one of the 8-Core Macs when I get in tomorrow.

Oh, I’ve been here all along. Just been laying low behind the scenes for a while.

Hi Steve,
HDV is already in there. We announced v12.5 at NAB, which included support for HDV input as well as Mulit-Channel Audio Input* and Audio Track Re-Mapping in the Edit Suite.
As stated in my post above, we are working on XDCAM.
As for pulldown removal and insertion, it’s an interesting feature request that is “on our list” but that has not been committed to yet.

Gentlemen,
I assure you that we are working on XDCAM support and the EX-1 is a part of that effort. That’s as much as I can say right now in a public forum. Sit tight, stay tuned and don’t give up. We’ll have more to tell you soon.
