Hello, your resource file is 59.94i, for us it is 29.97p. The adobe Premiere pro cs5.5 can support the Canon MXF video 59.94i with AMA plugin, but the plugin will natively deinterlace the 59.94i to 29.97p.

It doesn’t need any plugin to import P2 MXF to FCPX from the camera directly to Final Cut Pro X, but it needs to be done straight out of the camera.
If you have stored the MXF files to iMac, you have to use a MXF Converter to transcode P2 MXF to FCP’s native format ProRes before transferring.

You’d better download and install the Canon XF Plugin with the newest version from its website.
If it still doesn’t wiork, your computer may has something and influence the compatibility. Then as far as I know you have to use a third party MXF Convert software to transcode the MXF to Adobe’s native format before importing.

Vegas Pro is a video editing software package for non-linear editing systems (NLE) originally published by Sonic Foundry, now owned and run by Sony Creative Software. As you know, unfortunately it still is. For whatever reason, Sony and Panasonic still refuse to play nicely together.
The best editable format of Vegas is MPEG-2. I advice you convert P2 MXF to MPEG-2 and import the video to Vegas for freely editing.

I’m sorry. I can’t go along with your view. If it is native, why did it release the MXF Plugins(including Canon XF Pugin)?
You can do a search about the Avid MXF files, you will find many users can’t direclty import MXF to Avid MC.

The MXF is not Avid’s native format, you need to use AMA Plugin to import it into Media .
As far as I know, the transferred off MXF video doesn’t work well with Avid MC 5.5 or under. You’d better upgrade to Avid MC 6.0 to have a try.

In my opinion, you’d better upgrade to Adobe PP CS6. Using the AMA Pluigin to import almost videos to the Editing Software.
If don’t, you have to use a MXF Cnnverter to help you convert MXF to the native format, like MPEG-2, WMV, MOV,ect.
