How about Premiere Pro? It can open an After Effects project, right?

That’s good to know. Before I posted I tried a JKL trim in Xpress Pro HD 5.2 and it DIDN’T work, so I’m glad it is coming.

I’m looking forward to FF and REW buttons that act like they should, I’m looking forward to using Extend again, JKL trim, access to all (or at least most) of the compressions…

There isn’t an easy way. FCP can’t be scripted per se, but you COULD create an XML file that contained all your freezes. But it isn’t easy business.

Creating an image sequence as suggested in the other reply is a good idea.

Buy the most expensive UPS that CompUSA has, that should be fine.

If you want to math it out, add up all the wattages of the devices you need to plug-in to the UPS then make sure the sum is less that the capacity of the UPS you buy.

Also, your Mackie and studio monitors don’t need to be on the UPS, nor does your video display, but you’ll want your main computer monitor on it so that you can see to close all your applications and shut the system down.

    I always buy APC.

I’ve tried my finished putting my project in a DV NTSC timeline and re-rendering it. But that seems a bit counter productive and defeating the point of HD. But then again, I guess putting HD to SD-DVD defeats the purpose as well.

I was going to make the same point you came around to.

I wonder if something like a slight blur would help your fine shimmering lines.

  • Why don’t you create a new user and log in to that user?

Also, try booting the computer holding down Shift.

If that doesn’t help you’ll need to reinstall AE.

DNxHD works fine in AE on Windows. For the Mac you’d have to export to a codec like Animation.
