I have been editing in Final Cut Pro Studio in Panasonic’s DVCPro HD codec (720p). I am trying to go to SD-DVD. When I export using compressor, and watch it on a TV, the higher resolution of HD seems to create a vibration on the finer detailed lines.

Is there a standard for compressing HD to SD-DVD? I’ve tried my finished putting my project in a DV NTSC timeline and re-rendering it. But that seems a bit counter productive and defeating the point of HD. But then again, I guess putting HD to SD-DVD defeats the purpose as well. But I’m stuck doing it for the time.

    Any suggestions???

    Thanks,

I was going to make the same point you came around to.

I wonder if something like a slight blur would help your fine shimmering lines.

I found where the frame controls are. Do you just put it on Automatic, or is there a specific custom way to do it? I don’t see anywhere to toggle it on and off.

off is off. manual and automatic is on. setting it to automatic should work. otherwise manual with scaling set to highest quality will do the trick.
