It seems to be with this project in particular even when I re-edit from scratch I get the same resultYou need to start over and provide more detailed information in the way of screenshots. Project settings, media properties, and render settings. E.g. you have yet provided no information on the media you’re using. E.g. there have been a number of recent threads reporting problems with Bandicam files. Here are some examples.
Project settings:
Media Properties:
And finally, render settings.
These are the basic building blocks. Also indicate what Fx, if any, that are being applied. You mentioned New Blue–are you using it? The more specifics you can provide, the more likely someone will be able to assist you.

September 9, 2015 at 5:40 pm in reply to: Converting a mono track to stereo – in same track?Don’t think I’m understanding this one… but I would be glad to investigate your script…
Here is a very simple example. Suppose I have 3 audio tracks. I want to add the audio from track 3 as a take to track 2 (same as adding external audio to audio track from video), but don’t want to include audio from track 1 (e.g. music track).
Just the select the event and run the script “add audio take other track”. (Multiple events can be selected).
You’ll see that a Take has now been added to track 2 (the audio from track 3). At this point, you can simply delete track 3. You can toggle between the original audio and added audio by simply entering T. At this point you can split, move, etc. the track 2 audio and the take will always be attached in perfect sync. A sub-folder entitled Wave is created in the folder containing the selected audio event. By default, the audio is rendered using the Microsoft (Wave) renderer and the 48Khz, 16 bit, PCM template although this can be changed.
Here is the link to a folder containing the script and an icon if you want to create a Toolbar shortcut.
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5zgs0my1yd4kbe8/AADQPGyzJjiv4e-SZTu51f6Oa?dl=0. Just add the files to your script menu folder. I’d try it on some test files just to make sure you know how it works. Good luck.wwaag

should I check the box?
I’d say yes. If you’ve already un-installed and then re-installed Vegas this may not have an effect anyway.
I also have some new blue effects installed so would those have an effect on this?
I don’t have any installed, so I really can’t tell you except that there have been quite a few threads both here and on the Sony Vegas Pro forum of members complaining of problems with New Blue. I’d say un-install and see if it makes a difference. You can always re-install.

but I dont know how to reset vegas at all
Reread my post. It gives exact instructions.or how to disable GPU
Go to options. Select Preferences. Select the Video Tab. The 3rd line says GPU acceleration of video processing. Just select Off.

A few questions. Does it only crash on this one particular project or crash in general? Have you done a reset of Vegas setting it back to all its defaults? (Hold down Ctrl-shift and then double-click on Vegas icon. You’ll get a box asking you if you want to reset.). Have you disabled your GPU? Open go to video preferences and disable and restart. Might be worth a try. If it only does this on the one project, you might open another instance of Vegas and begin copying assets from the “bad” project to the new project? As always, screen shots of your timeline would be useful.

Lengthy installations is an understatement!
What’s the old saying? Good things don’t come easy? Lol. But once set up, it really is “one-click” and you’re into Handbrake without having to render to an intermediate.

September 7, 2015 at 4:28 am in reply to: How to crop but CUT unwated video out? (Vegas Pro 12)Very simple. Make sure that your project settings are 16×9 (e.g. 1280×720 or 1920x1080HD or 720 x 480 widescreen). Then drag your 4:3 clip onto the timeline, open the pan/crop setting and select 16×9 TV setting as your preset. You will see the outline of where it will be cropped. At this point you can move it up or down and still maintain a 16×9 output without black bars. While this will “work” you will lose resolution, which will be especially noticeable if you’re using SD footage. It will look pretty “terrible” IMHO. For SD footage, I feel its always better to add a background on the track below so that the quality of the original footage is maintained. Just an opinion.

My last question is: I’ll need to resync the audio or the script cuts the audio part too? Any idea?
Don’t know. In thinking about it, a better solution might be to replace the duplicate frame with one interpolated from the previous and next frames. That way, there would be no audio sync problems. It turned out that I have a such an avisynth script written by John Meyer, although it’s for interlaced footage. Here is the original thread on the Doom 9 forum https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1493863 where the John Meyer script is posted. Assuming your footage is progressive, there is a link in the thread to the original filter by Mug Funky https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=753779#post753779 which may be exactly what you need. It would actually be a pretty simple script. Use of these require frameserving out of Vegas and then opening the Avisynth script in Virtualdub and rendering to an intermediate for import back into Vegas. Hopefully, these will be of use to you. Good luck.

There are alternatives so i avoid using it,
Me too. I have never used Mainconcept except for preview rendering. Even before the advent of HD, CCE Basic always produced superior renders for me. For HD MPEG renders, Procoder is still my choice–faster and superior renders IMHO than Mainconcept. I even paid for the upgrade to the Mainconcept standalone encoder and deleted it after awhile.
but only wish i had its 2Pass feature in other file format options.
Not sure what formats you’re referencing, but most encoders do support 2 pass renders–certainly Handbrake, Procoder, and TMPGEnc.

Two suggestions. First make sure that in your project properties, Full-resolution rendering quality is set to Best. Second, don’t use the Video4YouTube script. There are much better ways of rendering for YT or Vimeo. Suggest you have a look at this.

I would also recommend using the 1-click Vegas to Handbrake script.
https://www.vegasvideo.de/vegas-2-handbrake-en
It takes awhile to set up, but really works well. Handbrake does a much better job of encoding for low bit rate renders that are suggested for use in YT or Vimeo.
