Since upgrading to Mountain Lion my Sony HDR-XR150 is no longer showing all files within finder. I had to plug it into a PC to transfer the movies.

All I see is a greyed out AVCHD file. But it should be a the actual folder with all the video content.

Any ideas as I tried on another Mac with same OX

Thanks everyone. L&T worked once I figured out what I was doing wrong. Sounds like Clipwrap would be a handy addition to the conversion software arsenal.

If I didn’t want to use a compressor template, which would be the correct if any settings from the drop down list on the left of formats, if any

What file format are you trying to output to? If it’s a DVD format, then you don’t select the PAL/NTSC format until you take it to the next step in DVD studio Pro and set the DVD output format in preferences

Thanks everyone for your advice. Using compressors Transport format to the customers pixel requirement work perfectly, even though I was not able to change the aspect ratio to the required 4:3, the video displayed up correctly on the LCD TV

Thanks Jeremy, yes all the file format requirements were correct, and yes I discovered that it won’t allow for a different frame rate so I left it at 25fps/PAL. I suspect their tech guy is being a bit pedantic about it all?

Thanks everyone. I have emailed the client to check 100% the output, but suspect the combined MPEG2 file will be what they are after in which case I will give the Transportation format a try
