It has an RS422 plug to sync up to a deck or camera. Also time code, and all the bells and whistles, but it’s made to play in an NT box. The newer versions of Speed Razor and Matrox drivers, will work on a win2000 machine, but not on anything newer.

It’s was always productive, and never had any problems with crashes. The card and software were setup by the dealer, and I never touched anything, but the keyboard.

I actually like it better than Vegas 10, but you are limited in the types of media you can spit the finished videos out on.

Buy my Digisuite LE card (with input/output/XLR cables) and Speed Razor 4.0 setup.

Heck, I could sell you the NT box it’s mounted in too.

Now I feel like a complete idiot after watching that clip. I was lost after the first two or three trips down the “menu” path.

I’ve had good luck with V.10 Platinum, but it does not like the GIF I’ve been trying to feed it. Crashes everytime. Will see if I can make a lower 3rd’s croma animation out of a series of jpegs.

The one thing Vegas 10 doesn’t do, and I would not have gotten it if I had know; is that IT WILL NOT edit Canon Audio in Sound Forge. The program doesn’t even reconize the file format from either the Vegas timeline, or from Windows Explorer.

    Found the files.

I did a google search for info, and saw the youtube one’s on turning on the “hidden files” feature. There were some files there (I could not quess why “those” files would be there)and I saw that what I wanted wasn’t there.

Just for S&G’s, I decided to click on all the other file holders in my computer to see if they contained the missing files. I found all the sub-folders and all the raw video files, and finished videos in a file directory that had nothing to do with videos or Sony Vegas 10.

When the error occured in Vegas 10, the program must have played 52 card pickup with all the Vegas files. I don’t know why the Sony made on installation file heading “Vegas Movie Studio HD Platimum 10.0 Progects” under the “My Documents” was not moved too.

Maybe it’s Sony’s way to screw me again for using a Canon Camera. I have no idea why Sony’s Sound Forge won’t edit audio files from my Canon Camera. I wish I had know that before I bought Vegas.

  • My SV10 crashed and deleted “all” the sub-directroys and files in the Sony Vegas home directory. 🙁

Around 40 separate video files and 6 finished projects. Everything gone, but the home directory for the Vegas files that the program sets up when installed.
