dear guys, has anybody heard about plans for including this in sv12. motion in pan/crop window really sucks. most of sv users including myself would go down on their knees thanking for a chance to make pan/crop bazed on bezier curved paths.
    .
guys how do you manage with this problem? in theory it is possible to calculate position of the window in time to make a smoothe path but in practise it is crazy. with any change one would have to recalculate all keyframes…. arghhh…

i don’t mean so called smoothnes parameter as it is almost no help at all…

We have been asking for this feature since the Sonic Foundry days and are still waiting 🙁
All I can suggest is to go through Vegas Keyframe Interpolation Envelopes, an excellent tutorial from D. Eric Franks, as he gets into some on how to best use the limited tools available.

yeah, thanx mike for this very nice tut. i ve seen it a long time ago, really nice job. unfortunately i need to flow over the graphic in a constant smooth way, over the path which is curved in a bezier style, like the letter “s” and with simultaneous zooming in/out. impossible to do in sony vegas. you need a script or an outside program to calculate position and size of pan/crop keyframes for each frame. and another script which will apply calculations to your event. crazy!!!!

    shame on you SV developers
ok, where is my AE shortcut?

    🙂

Paul, I used to play around with Lightwave 3D and really got used to how good bezier curves could be.
Maybe some day Sony will give us what we’ve been asking for for years.
Not holding my breath though 🙁

Now I feel like a complete idiot after watching that clip. I was lost after the first two or three trips down the “menu” path.
