Sean, so You’ve done Bitvice from FCP HD (1280/1080) to DVD and had great results?
what settings would you use for 52 min documentary? Would you use VBR or CBR?
    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks you all

My concern is scaling, how accurate will compressor convert from 1280 by 1080 to 720 486.
Any other issues I should be aware of?

    thanks

If I put a 4×3 image on my DVCPRO HD timeline (which is obviously 16×9) and simply “stretch” the image without distorting it, to fill the whole 16×9 area, I’m fine, right?

I have a question similar to this, we also have 16×9 hdv footage and some 4×3 DV footage.
We’d like to incorporate some of the 4×3 dv stuff in this project, what is the formula to stretch 4×3 stuff to be anamorphic? Or is there some kind of filter? Software that does that? We don’t want to just letterbox it.

    Thanks

But is it not true that Windows population still has problems with H.264? and since most computers out there are PCs using windows, you limiting who is going to see your movies? I agree, files encoded in H.264 look awesome, but how compatible are they with the rest of the world?

I posted same post on AJA board and looks like there is audio control panel in IO where you select different audio outputs, I’m searching for it now. So if anyone knows, please help.
    Thanks
