What is the best way to capture pictures and/or slides into FCP anamorphic 16×9?
Are there any scanners capturing 16×9?
If so which one you’d recommend for DVCPRO HD production, with high enough res on stills that one can do pan and scans?
    Thank you

A general rule of thumb is to scan your pictures/slides at least double the resolution of your video frame i.e. if working in DVCPro HD your scanning resolution should be at least twice as big as 720×1264 pixels. More is even better. This will allow you to pan & scan and still have the pictures looking good onscreen without any artifact issues. For more info on how to crop your still media for a 16:9 project youu can go here:

    https://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/fcp_homepage_index.html

Navigate down the page to the section called: “Graphics – Photoshop” and you’ll see a number of articles that address issues and solutions for getting your pictures looking good in FCP.
