Boris Continuum Complete has a nice page turn with plenty of options,
shadows, etc. Very realistic, but be prepared for a long render. I believe
there is a fully functioning demo on their website.

For something quick, you can throw on “Find Edges” from the “Stylize” menu.
This will give you some decent outlines. Duplicate your layer and put the
effected copy over the non-effected original. Experiment with transfer modes,
maybe add some posterization, color correction, etc.

Some other plugs can give you more options. Tinderbox “Edge Detect” and
DigiEffects “Edgex” come to mind.

But again, this is just a quick trick. Don’t try to sell this to the guys
witht the goatees and horn-rimmed glasses.

Annoying isn’t it? The easiest way around this is to select all the keyframes,
then under the animation menu select “keyframe interpolation” and change
“spatial interpolation” to “linear”. That should take care of it.
