This is because Continuously Rasterize is enabled. This will change the Render order of AE.

This can be done in many ways. One of the Simplest way is to use Knoll Unmult.

Dave has given a right method. May be you are skipping some steps.
1. Copy the Path from Shape Layer.
2. Create a White solid with comp size.
3. Make a Rough Mask.
4. Press MM to twirl down Mask Path parameter.
5. Select Mask Path and Paste.See the example:

Do you have Multiprocessing On? If yes then Turn it OFF. May be because of complexity of your scene you are getting this error since you have just 8GB of RAM.

I really loved your Space Environment Video. Especially the way you have used Trapcode Form. The 3D Earth seems to be little weak as compared to the whole scene. You can improve on that part using nice reflections of water surface etc.

This is a warning to apply effects like Trapcode Particular, Trapcode Form, Optical Flare(with Source Type 3D), etc on a 2D Layer because they are designed to interact with Comp Camera Attributes.
For Example If you will apply Optical Flare on a 3D layer and then Move to Camera Position you will notice that it will behave as a 2D plane in 3D space and will not interact with the Comp Camera anymore.
Effects like Trapcode Particular Interact with Comp Lights when Shading in On.
Hope this may help you to understand why this warning appears while applying some effect on 2D Layers.
