    Mr. Lumiere

Its better to go with Adobe Premiere Pro as it can import the AE project files with all Effects and marker points.

The best part is it also creates a Dynamic Link with AE.

Say you have a Footage in Premiere Pro time line, Right Click on it and select “Replace With After Effects Composition”. Now whatever effect you will apply in AE it will make it available in Premiere Pro without rendering the footage in AE. It saves a lot of time.

It also has a unique feature that it recognize the dialogue being spoken in audio tracks using “Transcript” and will export it for AE. THis will help to sync you visual element with audio.

    Mr. Webster
Check whether your snap button is active or not in your Graph Editor. It will have a Magnet icon and also try to snap in Graph Editor.

Also try to zoom in in time line because if you are trying to snap in full zoom out, it will not snap properly

    Hope this will work.

Mr. Jordao try to use Video Copilot’s Light Saber Preset. Its is very easy than using mask shapes and gives you better results.

    Mr. Barrie,
Just try to use the default AE motion tracker. While choosing the area to be tracked, select the “Lights” of middle pole. That will definitely work 🙂

  • Mr.Aarli,

    1. To make these ellipse you can use “Radio Waves” Effects from GENERATE menu(effects>generate>radio waves). You can control the width from stroke menu. Also to sync it with sound try to key the EXPANSION attribute.

    2. For creating the flare, you can go for Video Copilot’s Optical Flares Plug-in. This is the best for creating flares. You will get more then 100 presets and the one you need.

and I am still searching for those light edges at corners.

August 7, 2012 at 8:15 pm in reply to: how to work with multiple masks

Mr. Yang, You can go for either way. Making masks for different objects in separate layers will be better as you can rename the layer to the desired name for the object which is not possible in different masks on same layer. This will help you too choose a particular mask more easily.

May be you can try to delete your Prefs file.

C:Documents and SettingsYour User NameApplication DataAdobeAfter Effectsversion(say 10) on XP and On other operating systems the path is different, but the procedure is the same. Delete After Effects Prefs.txt and you will get all your setting revert to original.
