If you are having problems to understand the graph with position property. Click on the ‘Separate Dimension’ button which you will find in graph editor with other buttons(having x,y & z symbols). It will make your curves easy to understand.

Mr. Roegels, after trying some method I found the solution for you. Follow the steps below:
1. Draw your mask.
2. Apply Stroke effect.
3. In Effects Control window, Go to Paint Style and choose ‘Reveal Original’ or “On Transparent’.
4. Now apply Ramp Effect from Generate menu.
5. This will give you a mask with gradient.Hope this may solve your problem 🙂

You will be glad to know that all effects that they have used in this video are too easy. Let me tell you about them.
1. You can create grid by Going to effect>generate>Grid. Make it 3D to have Z-axis controls.
2. For reflection and Refraction, follow these tutorials by Andrew Kramer( and i suggest follow all of his tutorials)https://library.creativecow.net/articles/kramer_andrew/reflections.php

You can use wiggle expression to give random movement but it will be too Rigid. To make it smooth and floaty read the comments by John in this link:

Keys ‘B’ and ‘N’ will set the in and out point for your comp respectively as said by John . After selecting the In and Out points you can also trim your comp just to avoid confusion. Right click on Timeline Ruler(the bar) and select ‘Trim comp to work area’. This will help you even more.

While rendering use the following settings:
Video output: .MOV
Quality = 100%
Format: Photo-jpeg
This will create high quality videos. and If you want to convert them for Windows Media Player, you can without any loss.
Check my blog: https://digieffects.wordpress.com/All my videos are in .WMV format as they are of less size and easy to upload. My advice is to use Total Video Converter to convert your videos.

Let me tell you how to do that. Follow the steps :
1. Select your mask.
2. Look on it attentively. You will notice that you “First” vertex has a “Big” round shape around it and the “Last” vertex has just a yellow spot.
3. Press “Cmnd or Cntrl” key and select your last vertex.
4. Now you can complete your shape from where you have left.
5. You can also “Add” a point between of your shape by just simply clicking on it.I am a keen learner and am very keen on pursuing a career in the animation industry. My artistic skills are mostly self-
