First, we have to establish that true subtitles can be turned off, as in a DVD feature. These subtitles reside in a separate text file that contains in and out timecode points along with text on that same line. That can only be imported into DVD encoders such as Adobe Encore, but not Premiere.

TitleFactory allows you to do what you described, pressing a button to create ins and outs based on your transcribed and translated audio.

I use a 2nd card (Not CUDA powered) for extra workspace / ref monitor, it doesn’t affect playback in MPE.

My guess is that either some of these Premiere versions are running trial versions, or they are not up to date.

Something is obviously not working right. The first thing to look at are plugins in your clip. Try removing them and see if things improve.

Also check for the latest display drivers. Check that you have the latest Premiere update. Also, remove any antivirus, malware software, they are well known to conflict with editing systems.

It depends on what kind of effects you have in there, but it’s quite reasonable if you checked “use Maximum Render Quality”. The big hit you are seeing is likely because of the downscaling.

Twixtor would probably be it as far as filters go. It can be used either in Premiere or After effects. The filter will actually create vector based tweeting frames. I’ve successfully slowed down footage up to 70% that way. The trick to a good result is clean frames to begin with.

You will need to shoot progressive at a high shutter speed to avoid any motion blur and keep the camera as steady as possible, avoid fast pans or heavy hand held motion. 30P would be best.

Also read/view the tutorials on their site or you will pull your hair out lining up footage.

In your export settings, PAR or pixel aspect ratio should be set to 1.

Have you installed any plugins recently?

It also looks as if you are working of a network?

You could looks at the log for more info.

You’ll have to go to Control panel > Folder Options and choose show hidden files and folders.

Than go to: C:\Users\{Your User Name}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\5.0

There are a few logs you could take a look at to see where thing went wrong.
