August 15, 2013 at 5:23 pm in reply to: Super Strange Unknown Error in Premiere – Any Ideas?Hi Austin,
You’ll have to go by process of elimination. Save as a new project and render without the dynamic link files first and see if that solves your issue.
I stay away from dynamic link for any heavy project, it’s just not reliable enough. If that doesn’t work, you’ll have to try again by taking out chunks of files until you find the file that’s causing the issue.
You could also try copying and pasting everything into a new project and see if that helps.

Hi Steve,
Make sure those permissions are on all folders, from the CONTENT folder to all subfolders and files.
That should do the trick.

You could use Animation or PNG, or even uncompressed, 1920×1080 Square as a self contained file (Keeping the original field order). Forget the reference file for Premiere.

Hi Tom,
A keyframe is a whole frame. Every other frame just adds changed pixels from the previous frame..
In motion heavy exports, you will be better off with more frequent keyframes, while you can space them out further in talking heads or screen capture type projects.

You can always create a new sequence and do a copy/paste of the whole timeline.

Pete,
I haven’t worked with XDCAM since CS5, I guess it’s possible that something’ s changed.
Looking around, I did find someone who suggested using XD Decode, not free however, you will get a watermark until purchase.

See that solves this issue, sorry, all I can offer.

Hi Peter,
Is this XDCAM from discs or cards? You won’t be able to import XDCAM that was ingested through Final Cut for example, you would have to go through Final Cat and re-export as something else.
Are you on a Mac / PC?

January 17, 2013 at 3:48 pm in reply to: Changing HDD to SSD on AE Global cache and OSGood question, only time will tell. But I think you would benefit more on the OS side. You could always make a cheap RAID 0 on the render side if you are on a budget.
Otherwise you should look at the Cadigit 4 drives RAID arrays. (Around $1000) You can store everything on there including the render files.

January 17, 2013 at 3:30 pm in reply to: Changing HDD to SSD on AE Global cache and OSAt this point, SSD are mostly used for the OS.
They have a limited amount of writes so they are not well suited for renders.
