Not that I can think of, you can use Command (mac) + Right to skip 5 frames, but no seconds skip that I’ve seen.

M4V is a video only file. If you check the export audio box, you’ll get an MP4.
You might also see an M4V until the render is complete.

Here in the US, most are interlaced, some stations do use 60P (at 720). You often see 60P in sports broadcast since you get the added fluidity needed for fast camera pans.

Hi Rob,
In theory yes, as long as you don’t exceed the drive’s transfer rate which may happen around 2 or 3 layers.
RAM maybe your real issue, but that depends on your version of Premiere. We regularly go over 10 Gigs.
Finally, render times will probably fairly long since they mainly rely on CPUs and GPU.

Sorry, I am not familiar with the Sony Camera. Here is a new link to the JVC. I can’t think of a camera with similar quality in that same price range.

This may still be a bit above your price range, I just can’t recommend anything below that since I haven’t use any of them.

Not a lot of info about budget. On the lower end (HD), you could look at this JVC camera
Projection will depend on distance, screen size. Panasonic has a pretty nice 12K if you need some brightness.
For mixer you can also look a Panasonic for a very simple SDI product.

This could be due to some heavy color correction on compressed footage?
If this was recorded in H.264, that doesn’t leave a lot of room for levels adjustments and grading before ugly artifacts show up.
This is the technique that I’ve been using for dealing with DSLR footage.
Import the footage into After Effects and create a 16bit composition.
Use a Denoiser or Neat Video.
Apply a versy small amount of dither by adding an tiny amount of noise to the cleaned up footage.
Export as a 10bit ProRes 422 file.
