October 11, 2007 at 6:13 am in reply to: frustrating!! rolling credits, help!

    thanks for your help,

i still have to wait till it finishes encoding so i can try it on dvd, but on the preview i did notice that.

i don’t remember how sharp or whatnot i put the text.

the text when it wasn’t in motion looked great.

but when it will roll up, it rolled up slow, not fast, so maybe it should be the opposite way? i gave it 9 seconds to roll up and center itself on the screen…

tomorrow i will try all the advice you gave me. i’m looking forward to the motion blur tool since that’s what fixed the other guy’s problem.

thanks again, i will update you on my progress!

    Vin.

    Hey B,

    Thanks for the info!

I tried a different font and will test it out in a couple of hours to see how it looks.

But yes, I found out the other day the hard way on Encore about the “safe area!”

    Thanks again,

    Vin.

    thanks guys, it worked!

i was confused with one of the presets that had all these rotations and whatnot and wouldn’t stop when i wanted it to, but it’s all good now.

October 9, 2007 at 3:42 am in reply to: fade to black animated text?!

    Hi there,

    thanks for the quick response.

i’m doing ending credits for a film, so i have black background white text.

i want to fade out all the text at the same time to get to a black screen again.

i tried what you told me to do, but on the keyframe, if i put it on 0% on the 2nd keyframe (where i’d want to do dissolve to black) then the 1st one automatically adjusts itself to 0% as well, and vice versa with the 100%…

October 5, 2007 at 7:33 pm in reply to: frustrating export to dvd problem..help!

    ok,

i kinda got it to work.

i chose 4:3 for all the options and it works.

however, is there a way to convert it to 16:9 without having the black frame all around? i don’t mind it being stretched.

and how do i exactly “stretch” part of the sequence? I need like 1/10th of an inch stretched to the right side to kill this black bar that’s there.

    thanks!

October 5, 2007 at 7:12 pm in reply to: easiest way to make a simple dvd menu on pp2?

    Hey Mike,

Thanks for the info. I’m buying Adobe Encore DVD 2.0 Classroom in a book. Looks like i’ll just learn that. The templates PP2 provides arn’t really what I’m looking for.

That being said, how would I export the project to encore? Do i have to encode the entire sequence as a movie? or can I open a pp2 project on encore?

    Thanks in advance,

    Vin.

  • nevermind… i tried it with another small sequence and it worked w/o a problem, however, im still curious as to why it wouldn’t work with the other one, same settings, even less time than the one im trying it with now!?
